Welcome to my website about the city and harbour of Den Helder.
My name is Ron Damman and I'm working at the naval shipyard(Marinebedrijf) in Den Helder.
After my schooltime period I've sailed a short period of time on a coaster and served my drafttime with the navy.
Before and after my time in the navy I worked for a company that took care of loading/unloading of
offshore supplyvessels.
So I have allways worked up and around the water.
In Den Helder the Navy , offshoreindustry and fishery are the main source of income.
As a fan of shipping , taking pictures and making a website made me decided to combine these three items with this website as result.
Why the title "Newdeep...also known as Den Helder".
Den Helder is also known as "Nieuwediep".
I have translated "Nieuwediep" in to "Newdeep" so it sound more proffesional.
